  4. I was just in Boston on a boat in the harbor...sigh...what is it about New England and the end of summer, start of fall? These pictures are incredible -- so clear and crisp! I love, Love, LOVE New England!!

  5. Beautiful! I intend to visit Maine someday. When I do, I will have to ask you for some great things to see and do. Any good books take place in Maine? (other than Olive Kitteridge which I just read)

  11. Kaye - Thank you... I always say if I had to pick another state to live in, it would be Maine.

    Rhapsody - thanks!

Kay - I hope you get a chance to visit some day. It's such a gorgeous place.

    Amanda - thank you

    Nise' - We did!

Coffee and a Book Chick - One of my daughters may decided to go to Maine for college. If she does, this could be an annual trip! I love New England, too.

Kim - I'll be ready with suggestions when you do. The first Maine book that pops into my mind (after Olive, of course) is Colony by Anne Rivers Siddons... which I enjoyed years ago.

Vivienne - I'll probably talk more about it as part of my Sunday Salon this weekend.

Carol - Then it's definitely time to go back :-)

Sandy - It's a great spot for a family vacation... your family would love Acadia!

Diane - We were in Brunswick for the first half of the week (college visits/interviews) then spent the rest of the time in Camden.

Staci - It's good to be back - thanks!

    Softdrink - it was!

Molly - Maine is a photographer's paradise. I spent much of the time wishing for better skills!

  14. Margot - You're right! Never thought if it before, but I guess we do gravitate towards water. Sanibel/Captiva, Florida is a favorite winter vacation spot.

Booksnyc - We were there in January a couple years ago and it was just as beautiful! Hope you get to visit Maine during the summer, too.
